I If do a spiral arrow into your block, which I will, and I will also fail to FADC it no matter how hard I try, do anything you want. Shit's -10 on block for HK, -17 for the other two.

And yes, the input leniency can go to hell. This is the only fighter that can't reliably do a walking quarter circle in.

Here, we see two devotees of fighting games discussing their craft. Our top linguists, anthropologists, and deconstructionists have analyzed their conversation and have come up completely dry on what they might mean, although the deconstructionists think their statements are ultimately contradictory.

Hey, nothing keeping you from joining us Mengde. Some of the best are on GGPO, which is about as easy access as you can get, so you may as well get it and hit me up. And seriously, this shit is no stranger than when we all actually played AoS maps. Or even some of the shit in the Dragon Age thread.

It's true Zah. I'm just not a huge fan of fighting games and never have been, so it's entertaining to come in here and watch you two discuss stuff that I've honestly got no conception of. I appreciate the invitation though.

I heard rumours Kuroda plays GGPO for 3s, and fact to that?

I stand corrected, had some good rape sessions as Cody tonight. Better than my Blanka. Shame his Gief matchup sucks so badly

Probably, most of the pros do, but I don't tend to play 3s on GGPO, I'm more a Garou person.

To be fair, Sako did get nothing but favorable match ups. He's fucking amazing, but I noticed versus Mochi he stuck mostly with safe shit, and when he didn't he dropped a lot of combos. If he'd been playing like he had been against Tokido I think that would have ended 10-3.

Fair enough on the matchup call, but with games at that level it often comes down to who has the better skill. Both of them are arguably the best in Japan - Daigo said before his match with Mochi that Mochi was the only one who regularly beats him, and then Sako proved through out this comp that he can still play at a ridiculous level in fighters - rarely, if ever, missing a combo link.

GodsGarden 2.5 will be amazing, cannot wait to is Itabashi play his Hakkan. Hopefully even J, or some other old school 3s makotos, have picked her up in SSF4 to play this comp.

I'm pulling for StripFighterIV to take GodsGarden 2.5 just for being man enough to enter with Dan.

I still don't think Dan is THAT low-tier. Those kicks do a ton of chip damage. That and he has two high-damage ultras.

I have a greater than 25% win rate with Dan in ranked straight trolling, so Dan's fairly solid. He's certainly no combo fiend though.

Yeah, he's definately a pragmatic character that has to make the most of situations. In the end though, you have a semi-Raging Demon that does at least >50% and a DP -> FADC -> fireball ultra that makes him slightly viable at tourneys.

in other news got to b with dudley then went on a retarded losing streak i think im at 4400 bp now and 600 pp or w/e =/ note to self give up when all your facing is guiles and flowchart kens and the occassional run away ryu >_< so pissed at myself for not quitting earlier tonight. I got overconfident was holding at 1k pp and 4900 pp for the longest time then idk i just forgot how to play or some shit -_-

Thanks for that, I was trying to play through the charge kit. Explains a lot. Other than that it's all set up for play.

I feel you man, fuck Guiles and Flowcharts. And you try to be productive and all they do is turtle or shoryuken and ugh. Just be patient and don't chase them out. They'll get bored and come after you after a little while, and thats where I pick them apart. Getting PP back, however, is a bitch. Took me forever to get back to 1500 when I lost it to 300 (experimenting with Viper without a stick = no fun), but you get there eventually. BP is easy to recover. Don't worry, I know that feeling of "fuck man, should've quit after that one" all too well.

GGPO is really easy to set up. You'll need zips of the roms for games you want to play, point GGPO to where you have them saved, then launch ggpoofba.exe, which is the single player client, and go through the menus to map your controls. After that, register an account, log in, and join a room.

Speaking of SSFIV ranked there seems to be a rule that says I cannot win with whatever character I play for my first match. I tend to go on 5-10 match losing streaks to start, get frustrated, switch character, and hours later end in a good mood and higher than I started usually, but I have yet to start a session on a win.

I have everything set for GGPO, except I can't log in from the log in screen. The button won't work. Suggestions?
