I'm not going to extensively balance or balance test things, but most of these are just object editor abilities, which makes them simple to change. The reason they weren't dealing damage is that some were being prepped for triggers in the copy I'm working from. Call the Sky was triggered even in N, though.

I agree you should only fix the issues in N and focus mainly on O.

Didn't find any other bug anymore thou..

And about DoTM his gravity well gets deactivated after a while even with the drain till the end trick.. something must be triggering this ... ( jumping in airship does I believe )

Silence, Roots and probably a few other spells. Not really a bug.

If it automatically turns Immolation off it automatically turns Gravity Well off.

I tested all the spells in single player and here is a list of all the bugs I have found.

Bloodmage
Wake - doesn’t deal damage
Tides of Blood – doesn’t deal damage and can’t target towers or units

Jean
Flare – doesn’t deal damage

Disciple of the Moon
Gravity Well – Doesn’t turn off when he runs out of mana. (Dotm loses the aura icon below his stats/picture but he still has the aura)

General bugs
Not sure if it is a bug but in solo player if a hero dies there is no death timer and he doesn’t respawn. (like it matters)

Balance related

Warden - having a one second cooldown on blink is retarded and level 5 should remain at 2, prehaps change the mana cost instead. At the moment the mana cost goes 50/20/15/10/10 maybe make the mana cost 50/30/20/15/10.

I already changed it to 10/8/6/4/2 seconds and 50/40/30/20/10 mana, actually. I just realized that the level 5 glitch will make it still cost 20 mana at level 5, but I don't care enough to repack the file.

First of all, thanks a bunch for throwing the Tides of Blood spell a bone, it's pretty damn good now!

Second of all, I found an extremely minor bug that probably doesn't warrant fixing. Now, whatever is turning off Gravity Well also interrupts any spell the DotM is channeling at the time. Like I said, pretty minor in that I don't think there are many occasions in which one would really find themselves casting Call the Sky or Lunar Tides in a situation where they'd a) be low on mana and b) also need Gravity Well on, but I might as well let people know.

Rematch is all borked in singleplayer. Random heroes disappear and you can only pick one (of the heroes that didn't disappear).

Additionally, the ethereal mines tooltip has a grammatical error.

Currently the bot is offline cause the new version of the bot hung my machine ( heat prob my room is already above average temp )
But it will be back online starting from Friday evening when I return from Greece

Sorry but I'm only hosting on Northrend.
You guys are more than welcome ( bot only kicks + 400ms ping)

I'm willing to create a bot to advertise on the other realms but honestly I think you should have your own bot.

Anyway gonna start a new topic as I feel like we are hijacking this thread where Cassiel should get all the credit he deserves for maintaining the map we all love to play.

We are now playing on a local server. But most of the time we play it on LAN. Yeap we are all friends we don't have leavers. Normally it would take about 90-120 mins to finish a game. (Haven't included the 2nd round, when the game is auto-remade after the Castle is destroyed)

Any plan on making version O a fast paced game? (ie. 30-60 mins game)
But then you would need to make Heroes and Creeps much more stronger and "imbalanced", right? Or you have other plans? :ninja:

Yes, O stands to be substantially faster.

* For starters, there are currently no workers. This could change in the future, but there should be more elegant solutions to cheesing if it becomes an issue.

* More significantly, the Blood Meter and things like Spell Criticals tend to speed the game up.

* Abilities are also rebalanced to the level 1 = level increment * 2 rule, i.e. instead of a 60/120/180/240/300 damage ability you'll see 100/150/200/250/300, so the early game is less of a suck fest.

* Instead of 18 levels there are 16--but you start at level 1 with 3 ability points, and your abilities behave as if you were already level 3 for purposes of leveling. See above comment about suck fest.

In other words, some of the shortening comes from cutting out the boring early game, some comes from removing options that serve no purpose other than to prolong the game, and some comes from making everything bigger and badder.
