* Instead of 18 levels there are 16--but you start at level 1 with 3 ability points, and your abilities behave as if you were already level 3 for purposes of leveling. See above comment about suck fest.


This is just awesome.

When I was going to make a hero arena I thought of something like this, since it is indeed waste of time to wait until you got enough levels to start real hero vs hero combat.

Should work out fine, there is still some early game but no longer that "can't do shit with my single lvl 1 ability."

I hope you will consider my suggestion about making creeps bigger and badder. Now creeps would easily die by just one spell . They won't live longer than 10 seconds in enemy base. It makes back-dooring and cheesing good options instead of pushing along with creeps.
Perhaps, creeps auto upgraded? Or whatever that makes creeps better.

You could add an option to research upgrades at spawning towers for abos, mages, mortas etc. Each unit would have 1 or 2 special abilities. i.E disease cloud for abominations, adept/master training for casters etc.

Also, adding a fourth tower spawning a heavy flying unit, would be an idea.

Work is done on a Tron-style particle cannon.

People we don't like will be phased into the game world as creeps.

And they are not getting any upgrades.

Fuck no, the feeling of empowerment is crucial for the game experience. What's the point of increasing in power if your surroundings increase equally?

I was just giving suggestions. No need to go harsh on a newbie like me. That's not cool.

That wouldn't happen. All I suggested is to slightly make creep stronger so that they won't die in one single hit. That's ridiculous creeps are only pure food in ToB.

That's right. The feeling of empowerment is most important. But there is no feeling of empowerment right now for it takes us 2 hours to destroy the main base.
If the creeps are not going to be improved at least towers should be weakened. Kaz said something about making the game ends in about 20 minutes. That's not going to happen if nothing is changed. Noobs.

It can be this world: if you make the creeps so hard to kill, no one can do anything at the start of the game because they can't kill the creeps. So the creeps just do all the fighting and then people get bored and leave after 10 min thereby decreasing game length.

The battle should be won by the heroes, player characters, not by the computer-controlled army. Wheres the fun in that?

The best games are 30 minutes long, that was back in M though. Even pubs are about an hour long now :(

Obviously you are the noob you never play any serious IH game where both teams have repairers.

Why asked a question with simple answer?Creep stronger = heroes stay longer in enemy base = do more damage to towers = faster game. Or you may have figured out another way to shorthen the game length. Looking foward to it.

NO, actually we don't need to make any changes. ToB is now already a short length game. Everyone leaves game after 20 mins anyway.
